Your garage door covers the largest opening in your home, an Amarr insulated garage door will help reduce the transfer of hot or cold air into your garage. This is important for a number of reasons:
Garage door insulating capabilities can be greatly affected by the door construction. For that reason, Amarr insulated garage doors are built to maximize energy efficiency. The door section construction and insulation of Amarr garage doors helps keep your garage as comfortable as possible.
Amarr Verified Thermal Performance
Amarr is a participant in the DASMA Thermal Performance Verification Program. All Amarr insulated garage doors have been tested from a certified, third-party lab for legitimate thermal performance U-factor rating. Amarr thermal performance ratings by residential product model are shown below:
DASMA Thermal Performance Verification Program
The DASMA Thermal Performance Verification Program (TPVP) was launched to establish U-factor as the industry standard for thermal performance rating for a sectional door. All U-factor thermal performance ratings by participating sectional door manufacturers have been verified using certified third-party testing and inspection. Identifying DASMA Verified Thermal Performance
Look for the TPVP badge or icon, which can only appear with models that participate in the program. Only participating manufacturers have verification program badge in marketing materials. The badge and/or icon denotes legitimate thermal performance rating (validated by third-party testing).
How are U-factor and R-value different?
The building and construction industry use both R-value and U-factor to measure thermal performance. These thermal performance ratings are not mathematically associated, as the testing methods are completely different.
